/ Atlantic Region Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (ARAISA)
ARAISA was officially formed in 1994 as a regional body to represent the needs of settlement-integration agencies throughout the Atlantic Provinces. ARAISA currently has 11 member agencies from Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.
Mandate and Objectives
ARAISA’s mandate is to identify and address the needs and concerns of immigrants and immigrant service providers and agencies in the Atlantic Region.
ARAISA Atlantic Settlement Conference
Established in 1994, the Atlantic Region Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (ARAISA) is an umbrella organization dedicated to improving the settlement and integration experience of newcomers to Canada. Each year ARAISA hosts an annual conference which brings together settlement services providers, community stakeholders, government representatives as well as delegates from the immigrant community to participate in policy and issue based workshops. The goal of this conference is to facilitate improved newcomer settlement and integration, foster cross-cultural awareness, encourage strong partnerships and promote the Atlantic region as a desirable resettlement destination.

The Association for New Canadians is a non-profit, community based organization dedicated to the provision of settlement and integration services for immigrants and refugees to Canada. For over 30 years, the Association for New Canadians has provided settlement assistance as well as programs and services to support all aspects of newcomer integration.
