Black Youth Group Art Hub Update
We would like to share an update from our recent Black Youth Group Art Hub session! The group was joined by special guest Amarachukwu (Amara) Bernice Ehigie (pictured, left), who helped them learn more about Henna designs!
Amara discussed the significance of Henna throughout the world and how it serves as a symbolic bridge between ethno-cultural identities. She also shared her experience as a Black woman in a professional role in the diaspora. Participants then asked questions about her career journey, community involvement, and perspectives on identity and belonging. Thank you to Amara for this engaging and informative session!
New participants are always welcome at The Art Hub! The next session will be:
- Thursday, November 27th
- 3:30 pm
- 144 Military Road, St. John’s
