Statement on Libya Flooding
On behalf of board and staff of The Association for New Canadians, we extend our deepest sympathies to the people of Libya impacted by catastrophic storms affecting most of the country causing flash floods and landslides. We also extend condolences to their family, friends, and colleagues in this province. This event is made even more horrific, occurring in the wake of the recent earthquake in Morocco.
Our thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones in this most unfortunate event. As relief efforts continue, we extend goodwill and gratitude to first responders, emergency organizations, volunteers, and everyone providing assistance in this challenging time.
